Dominic Bond

Head of Practice, Education, Philanthropy and Foundations

Dominic Bond

Dominic leads our Philanthropy and Education Practice Areas, working with clients such as Porticus, Vitol Foundation, Malala Fund, Jacobs Foundation and Room to Read. He joined Oxford HR in 2020 having spent 12 years leading Sabre Education, an award-winning non-profit working on systemic change in the early years education sector in partnership with the Government of Ghana.

Dominic brings a strong personal and professional interest in Founder-CEO transitions in purpose-led organisations, having completed his own transition as CEO of Sabre, the organisation he co-founded and led until partnering as a client with Oxford HR to find his own successor.

Thanks to his leadership roles in the non-profit sector, Dominic has strong experience of organisational development, growth strategy, impact measurement and governance, and he has worked on a range of development issues including education, water and sanitation, conflict resolution and fiscal reform. Dominic is passionate about helping purpose led organisations to build their leadership capacity with diversity, equity and representation, to bring about system change and transform the life chances of future generations.

Dominic began his career in International Development as a consultant and programme manager for Crown Agents supporting the delivery of fiscal reform projects in Mozambique and Angola, and as a consultant to the UK Department for International Development. Speaking Spanish and Portuguese, Dominic holds a Master’s degree from the School of Oriental and African Studies at the University of London.

I love the way Oxford HR supports meaningful conversations in the sector that go beyond our direct service delivery - for me this is part of how we 'walk our talk' on mission and purpose.
