Our Director, Europe, Erik van Weert attended the B for Good Leaders’ Summit in Amsterdam on 11th and 12th May. Over the coming 5 years, B for Good Leaders’ Network will build a strong network of over 30,000 entrepreneurial leaders from different regions for massive transformation. These leaders will form the ‘B for Good’ Leaders Network. Together they will meet, inspire each other, and act to build solutions for challenges like climate change, inequality and shortage of food.

Many of the participants were BCorp certified or in the process of getting their certification. As a movement, BCorp is relatively big in the US, UK and the Netherlands and rapidly growing across the globe. Amongst the discussion points, attendees were interested in the SDGs, leadership, impact, diversity and ESG. The programme of the event had six tracks; which were initially developed by the CEOs who gathered at the first summit in Rome and were those that were highlighted as the most direct paths we can influence to building a new economy.

The organisations were from a variety of sizes, from both corporate and third sector backgrounds, in addition to foundations, philanthropies and service providers. The sessions were insightful and informative, offering plenty of food for thought as to how we can contribute to this network and help it to achieve its ambitions. Oxford HR looks forward to continuing along our own path of measuring our impact and becoming BCorp certified.
