What was your role before joining Oxford HR?
I’ve worked in the international development and humanitarian sector for the past 14 years, from small start-ups to large global international organisations such as UNHCR. Since 2020 I’ve been working as a consultant supporting various organisations with business development and resource mobilisation on diverse topics, something I really enjoy as I love to be exposed to new developments in the sector. This includes learning about the opportunities and challenges of digital media for development through working with TechSoup Europe, who are supporting CSOs to use technology for social change and RNW Media a digital media organisation working with young people to create digital communities for social change.
What do you feel you can bring to clients?
A wide exposure to various thematic areas, a global network of peers, and always a keen interest to learn and better understand the wishes of the client.
What issue keeps you awake at night?
Growing polarisation, racism and indifference to the plight of people in need such as refugees, and people affected by the impact of climate change.
What qualities would you find in a great leader?
Empathy, willingness to listen and adjust course and having a strategic vision
What book have you read most recently?
Kindred by Octavia E. Butler, a mesmerising and powerful read.
Who would be your dream client?
Any client that is invested in learning and developing their organisation by being open to diverse leadership profiles.
