Robert brings 30 years’ experience of working in both the national and international non-governmental sector, both in executive and in supervisory roles. He has worked in a wide range of organisations such as a trade union, several media companies and a for-purpose tech start-up. He works with refugees and their host families at Takecarebnb.
Robert worked as director for several publicly funded media companies both in The Netherlands and worldwide. He has experience both as as member and a chairman of supervisory boards in sectors such as primary education, media, culture, democracy/rule of law, corporate social reponsability and banking.
Educated as an economist at Groningen and UC Los Angeles universities, he has followed the Nyenrode program for supervisory board members and several programs on leadership. He is passionate about effective – that is both value driven and efficient – leadership and supervision at social and civil society organisations and aims to be of service for organisations in the various for-purpose sectors.
