About Climate Emergency Collaboration Group (CECG)

Who We Are

The Climate Emergency Collaboration Group (CECG) is a philanthropic collaboration between some of the world’s largest climate philanthropies. Our mission is to support and build a diverse ecosystem of actors to accelerate international cooperation on climate and low carbon development. Ensuring the success of the annual UNFCCC Conference of the Parties (COPs), and other Multilateral forums is central to CECG’s mission, and we believe these moments have the potential to catalyse collective action, focus impactful organising, and disseminate powerful narratives.

  • Support and performance manage the CEO, acting as a critical sounding board and mentor.
  • Promote high standards of integrity, transparency, and accountability across CECG.
  • Represent CECG externally, acting as an ambassador when appropriate.
  • Encourage collaborative decision-making and resolve conflicts constructively.
  • Ensure CECG’s financial sustainability and strategic alignment with its mission.

  • Demonstrated experience in change management, business development, long-term strategic planning, and organisational development, with a strong systems-thinking approach to complex challenges. An understanding of donor driven institutions would be desirable.
  • Experience of working across multiple regions or in international contexts, bringing a global perspective and the ability to navigate cross-cultural environments effectively.
  • Experience engaging with funders or donors, with an understanding of the responsibilities and dynamics involved in receiving and managing philanthropic funding, (even if not from within a traditional grant-making role) would be advantageous.
  • In depth understanding of governance, risk, and compliance in UK charitable regulations.
