What was your role before joining Oxford HR?
I worked at the British Heart Foundation for three and a half years as a talent consultant. I managed the graduate programmes, apprenticeship activity and acted as an internal consultant for EDI (unofficially). I am also a freelance training consultant, coach and a psychotherapist.
What do you feel you can bring to clients?
I feel I can bring my sector knowledge as well as knowledge from other industries. Over the last fifteen years, I have learned things about recruitment, management, leadership railway safety, psychology, EDI organisational politics, employee relations and so much more. It is from this wide variety of experiences I can understand organisational challenges from a unique perspective.
What issue keeps you awake at night?
I don’t let wider issues effect my sleep!
What qualities would you find in a great leader?
Empathy, self-awareness, context and respect for others.
What book have you read most recently?
I currently have a few books on the go, I just listened to Spare on Audible and I am also reading Love Marriage by Monica Ali.
Who would be your dream client?
Any client who is willing to work collaboratively and who is open minded and will listen.
