After eight years of visionary leadership under the previous Executive Director, TJUK partnered with Oxford HR to find their next leader—someone politically astute, values-driven, and deeply committed to social justice. The role called for a principled pragmatist capable of navigating complex movements, building broad coalitions, and engaging effectively with funders, politicians, partners, and policymakers to drive systemic change.

We were proud to present an exceptional pool of candidates, noted by TJUK as exceeding their expectations, with senior leaders from across the political, NGO, tax justice, and circular economy spheres. After a thorough assessment process, TJUK were thrilled to appoint Dr. Faiza Shaheen, as their next ED, a highly respected international expert on inequality and social policy, with extensive leadership experience and networks within politics, the non-profit sector and academia. Currently a Visiting Professor in Practice at the LSE’s International Inequalities Institute, she is also an accomplished author, former parliamentary candidate and a nominee for Woman of the Year at the Asian Achievers Awards.
