Neema Onsongo is an Associate Director with Oxford HR and an experienced people and organisational development executive with more than 25 years’ experience partnering with organisations in South Africa and Kenya to strengthen leadership, build organisational capability and deliver sustainable performance.
Before joining Oxford HR, Neema held executive HR leadership roles with Stanbic Bank and Rand Mutual Assurance, following earlier senior HR management roles with FNB and Hay Group. Across her career, she has worked closely with Boards, CEOs and executive leadership teams to shape leadership strategy, strengthen organisational culture, drive transformation, and build future leadership capability. Having both appointed senior leaders and served as an executive herself, she brings a balanced understanding of leadership from she understands leadership from both sides of the table.
Neema is particularly interested in the intersection between leadership behaviour, organisational culture and business performance. She is the creator of the Silent Disengagement™ framework, a body of work that explores the hidden organisational costs when employees no longer feel able to speak up, contribute ideas or challenge constructively.
She holds an MBA and is passionate about connecting organisations with exceptional leaders who create trust, strengthen culture and enable lasting impact.
