Kassie has 20+ years’ experience as a leader in the International NGO sector across Africa. She has lived and worked in over 15 countries on the continent in both humanitarian crises and long-term development programs. Her work has focused mostly on leading and managing teams to promote gender equality with a keen interest in equity, diversity and inclusion.
Kassie is a strategic thinker, a people person with extensive experience in planning, participatory learning and action. She Is also a certified Executive Leadership Coach and Systematic Team Coach ®. She is inclined to challenge others with curiosity and committed to the diversity of people that create a team so that they are skilled, committed and happy in their work.
Kassie is a US and Kenyan Citizen, speaks English, French and Kiswahili and obtained a Masters degree from the University of Sussex, UK. She has two children Hassan and Sada who were both top 30 global tennis champions as juniors and Sada is still active on the WTA circuit. Kassie lives in Nairobi and has only just recently taken up Masters Swimming competitions and is currently ranked 3rd in her age group for Kenya.
